According to a document published by journalist and publicist Daut Dauti, who lives and works in London today, during the two months of August and September of 1913, Serbian forces committed a series of crimes in Albania. The document clarifies that within this time period, 742 people (men, women, children) were killed, tens of thousands of cattle were looted, thousands of objects were burned, etc.

The document talks about the territory that was under the occupation of Serbia, which is Central Albania, Elbasan-Durres and up to the North. These data were collected by Edith Durham and several other Britons who were engaged in Albania as humanitarian workers, soldiers and diplomats. For this report, there was no reaction from the British Government, Dauti explained. For additional details regarding Serbian crime in Albania, see the document and read the full post by journalist Dauti. His full post:

“Let’s not forget them next year! This is a document compiled by the British and tells about: Serbian crimes in Albania during August and September 1913 Burnt objects: 123 villages comprising 6,344 houses; 110 mills; 106 stores; 50 mosques; 18 Teq. People shot dead or burned alive: 742 men, women and children. Looted cattle: 79,227 goats and sheep; 4 584 cows and oxen; 1 552 horses. 10 290 740 kg of corn. So, these crimes were committed only within two months and after the end of the Balkan wars when Serbia was ordered to release the occupied territory of Albania. However, Serbia did not listen to international orders and continued with massacres, looting, theft and other crimes against Albanians even though the war had ended.”
