The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, in a long post on Facebook spoke about the efforts of the Serbs to prevent the extraordinary elections in the north. Mehaj said that the numerous incidents in the north are starting from Serbia, and they are trying to leave the blame to the Albanians, writes the online newspaper Reporteri.net.

“For the last few days, we have been seeing stagings and incidents in the north of the country and in some other municipalities where properties, vehicles are damaged or even Serbs who want to integrate into the Republic of Kosovo are threatened, these attacks and threats come and are organized by Serbia, which tries to blame for this on the Albanians”.

In order to achieve their goal, the Serbs are able to kill their own children and try to leave the blame to the Albanians”, said Mehaj, while here he mentioned the “Panda Cafe” case in Pejë, as well as the case of the threat to kill Dick Marty from the Intelligence of Serbia in order to blame the Albanians. Minister Mehaj also mentioned the statement of the Emissary Gabriel Escobar, who said that the attacks against the Serbs in the north come from the Serbs, not from the Albanians.

This, Mehaj said, shows that Kosovo’s partners are also aware of Serbia’s propaganda. “Therefore, I invite the Serbian citizens of the Republic of Kosovo not to submit to pressure, and not to fall prey to acts of inciting inter-ethnic hatred, which is the primary goal of Belgrade, but to continue to integrate into our society and institutions. this is the only way to develop and live in the community”, concluded Mehaj.
