On September 24, 1913, the Dutch paper “Historische Kranten, Erfgoed Leiden en Omstreken” published an article about the Serbian war crimes against Albanians in 1912-113.
“Our telegrams have already show how the Albanians stand towards each other. It is now comical to read in the”Albanian Correspondents” the cause of this anarchist situation and also of the action against Serbia. According to this magazine, it is said to be a consequence of the atrocities committed by the Serbs for months in the area assigned to them by the London ambassadors conference.
Bloody fighting has been taking place between Albanian bands and Serbian troops for some time now. However, the Serbian detachments have now, without any cause, destroyed villages that who had not taken part in the uprising. They were set on fire and the scene of disturbances expanded as a result. Reuter tells us that the king of Serbia would like to have himself proclaimed Tsar of the Serbs.”
