Albanian Correspondence from Malësia: Serbian atrocities in Gjakova in 1912.

The “Albanian Correspondence” reported in 1912 from Malesia the following: The refugees who escaped from the Gjakova area before the outbreak of the uprising tell terrible things about the actions of the Serbs in these areas. The Serbian authorities had the entire Gjakova area and the population was forbidden to leave their houses after the evening bell rang and before 6 a.m. Anyone who violated this command was shot.

Children who violated this ban were shot to death. Whoever came under suspicion was Albanian being rationally minded was killed without interrogation. Old farmers were arrested. Their bloody heads were found in the Gjakova bazaar as a warning.
