Junç Hoti (Latin: Junch Hoth Albanie) (German: Junkus Hoch) (fl. 1520s) was one the early tribal cheiftains of the Albanian Hoti tribe, referred to as “Certi Hocti” (Translated roughly as “certain Hoti’s”) for the first time in 1414[1].

Milan Šufflay writes that in 1434, Junç Hoti was referred as ”Capitaneus montanee Ottorum, Junch Hoth, iam dominus in patribus Albanie”[2] in Latin documents[3] Albanian sources of geneolgy states that Junç Hoti was the descendant of Lazer Keqi, son of Keq Preka, who came to the modern day region of Hoti around 1520. Albanian folklore says Preka traveled to Piperi, where he had five sons: Lazer, Ban, Merkot, Kastër, Vas and Piperi. The son of Lazer Keqi, Gegë Lazri, had four sons: Pejc, Gegä, Lajc, and Junç[4]
