In 1918 Serbian soldiers in Northern Albania robbed and shot Bajraktar Bahtjar Kollowozi who then avenged himself

In the publication “Ethnologia Europaea 31”, authored by Bjarne Stoklund and Peter Niedermuller, lMuseum Tusculanum Press, we find an interesting passage on Serbian atrocities and war crimes in Northern Albania in 1918:

“Serbian soldiers in Northern Albania as victors in the First World War in 1918 robbed bajraktar Bahtjar Kollowozi. They shot him, but he survived. Kollowozi swore vengeance, assembled his neighbours and with their help killed sixty Serbs. They took two captives “who were not worth a bullet” and cut off their heads “as the Serbs did”.
