Kadri Bajri Muriqi, Bajraktar of Rugova (1823-1913)

Kadri Bajri was born in the village of Koshutan around 1823. Kadri Bajri was one of the well-known leaders of Rugova, together with Sali Jahë, Çelë Shabani, Avdi Smajli, Zhujë Selmani, Hysa Bajri, Halil Turku, Balë Ali, Sadri Bardhi, Sadri Elezin , Hajdar Fekun, Demë Isufin, Rexha Avdina, Bali Idrizin, Isuf Mujanin, Mustafa Bajraktari, Fasli and Sali Mula, Zeken e Sykut, Tafil Ahmet, Zhujë Kasemin, Ker Sadr Sadrin, Rexhë Haxhina, and many others.

Kadri Bajri was Sali Jaha’s closest comrade-in-arms, who was also his first companion through wars and battles. In addition to the heroism that Kadri Bajri had shown, he was also one of the closest collaborators of Hajj Zeke, Ali Pasha, and many fighters of that time. He also had his brother Hysen Bajri as his right wing for a long time, who beheaded Miter Milani and many others and died heroically in the Montenegrin war, being cut off by Jatagana. This family, known not only in Rugova, gave many brave and warriors throughout the past.
