Tuzi is mentioned in 1330, in a Holy book of the Monastery of Deçan, whose president was Llesh Tuzi. However, these lands were inhabited by indigenous Illyrian inhabitants hundreds of years before the toponym “Tuz – Tussis”. In the years 1416-1417, we see Tuzi as a village with a total of 150 houses.
Llezh Tuzi (Lêš Tuz) was an Albanian leader and pastor of the Albanian village Tuzi in 1335 in the Shkodër cadastre. The house had 16 houses. Llezh Tuzi ruled over local Albanian shepherds in his time. He also had children. The following names are registered:
Leš Tuz with children, Gon Bušat and Gon and Petr and Gin, Gratan Georgić and Budal, Peter Suma with his brother, Mata Guž with his brother, Lazor and Prijezda, Kreč with children, Gonoma, Dminko and Leš, Dmitr with with my brother, Andričko with my brother, Petr with my brother, Dmin…
