Illyrian graves in Trestenik-Viti destroyed by Serbs in 1953

Translated by Petrit Latifi. Original by Feri Arifi.

A very sad story about the destroyed Illyrian cemeteries of Trestenik, the local population of this village. The Serbo-Russians who came to settle in 1926 in the best land in Trestenik knew that they would always have to deal with Albanians. But also Yugoslavia, which was recently led by Russia with Slavic residents, settlers who came to Kosovo, A slightly provocative question for our Academics as to why the Illyrian graves in Trestenik were destroyed in 1956:

Trestenik in 1912 was captured by Russian forces, not Serbian ones, because there was no Serbian army. Author Tahir Berisha, from Vorban and Mehmet Halil from Trestenik, after the Russian army ate bread with hundreds of Russian soldiers killed about 57 men from the village of Trestenik. Thinking that the Russians would flee this place.

I don’t know where the Historians are who taught this place, even those doctors and professors, the courage today is ours, you charlatans. But why did Trestenik, with the old neighborhoods as they are, with the Krasniq tribe, move from this place, where did they go, only the Sopa tribe remained here, but where are the others: 1. Kurdiajt, 2. Kaçet, , coming from Jabllanica, the age of the village is very ancient, the names of the places are as follows:

Where the Rivers meet: Kodra Vogël, in the middle of the village, Kroin e Dakës, Kroin e Hanës, Lloburja, in the middle of the village. The church stone and the Old Church, This entire article is dedicated to the disappeared Illyrian graves!

To erase the traces of the village. Russian settlers and Yugoslav communism removed the graves from the Illyrian lands and turned the place into farmland. Albanians have not had the courage to speak about the cemeteries that were there many centuries ago. Russia and the “outstretched hands” of local rulers, called Serbs, without fear or shame, removed Albanian graves, which were wiped off the face of the earth, with a “movement”, supposedly these graves are old and within a few days they disappeared, making way for farmland.
