When the Serbian military killed Jesus Christ in 1912

Written by Petrit Latifi

In 1912, the German paper “Die Muskete” published an article titled “In den albanischen bergen” with an illustration by Karl Alexander Wilke (1879-1954). It depicts the Serbian army arresting Jesus Christ. The message was that the Serbian army also committed atrocities on Catholic Christians in northern Albania in 1912 and 1913.

“This man (Jesus Christ) says that we do not do crucifixions.”

– Then he should be shot!”
