According to Mark Mazowers book “Salonica, City of Ghosts: Christians, Muslims and Jews 1430-1950”, there is a passage that speaks of a Greek-Turkish massacre against the Albanians of Thessaloniki (Selanik):

“Hasan Pasha was given the green light for the Turks and the Greeks to take whatever action pleases themthey against every Albanian they find: killing them was not a crime. Continuing his march, he executed all the Albanians he had encountered, he burned alive the Albanians who were hiding in a monastery. Offering five gold forevery Albanian head they would bring”.
