Greek sources until the end of the 19th century called Albanians “Helleno-Pelasgians” or Albanians of the Mohammedan faith. The self-proclaimed “New Greeks” changed their policy towards Albanians and started a complete anti-Albanian propaganda, after the 19th century. The Serbians copied the exact same method. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the Greeks called Albanians Helleno-Pelasgians. Later, neo-Hellenic propaganda began and today we are where we are. Read an excerpt from this book about Albanians from 1879.

Translation:
“The Albanians or Skipetarians (Hellenopelasgians) are such in their ethnicity and Mohammedans in their religion. The term “Turk” signifies the inhabitant of Turkestan ethnically, and by extension all Asiatic Mohammedans; but the Albanians are Mohammedans in their religion, and Albanians or Skipetarians (Hellenopelasgians) in their ethnicity] so that they should be written as “Mohammedan Albanians” or “Mohammedan Skipetarians”. And our Mohammedan compatriots, the Joanites from the Christian Greeks Janites (Spahites), who have their origin and speak Greek, should be written and called “Mohammedan Greek Joanites”, and never Turks, having no ethnic connection with the Turks.”
