This is a passport from 1937 and, in addition to the necessary data on its right side, on the left page are some principles, reminders for its holder. If you read the five points carefully, you will see the educational character with which the Albanian of the time was intended to be formed.

1. To know and be sure that your fortune and happiness are found in Albania, which honors and grants you the name Albanian.
   
2. Preserve your Albanian character and pride; obey the laws and orders of the country wherever you are.
3. 
   Every Albanian is your brother: honor him at all times and help him when he is in need.
   
4. Do not despise your mother tongue, speaking a foreign language when there is no need.
   
5. Honor the flag of your homeland: whoever does not honor the Sheik of his community, dishonors himself.
   
   Love for one’s homeland is felt more in exile, therefore, preserve this love even when you return to your homeland.
