In 1912, the Serbian armys expansionist imperialist desire to invade Albanian territories began. Following large scale atrocities against Albanian civilians, burning, raping, plundering, the Serbs reached the Albanian coasts where atrocities continued against the Albanian people.
Along the Serbian army came Serbian civilians, including children. In 1915, the Serbian army began its pathetic retreat through Albania fleeing for Corfu. Around 200,000 Serb soldiers died, including the Serbian civilians. Had the Serbian imperialist military commanders not invaded Albanian territories, then thousands of Serbian civilians would not have have been forced to walk on stolen land, and then freezing or starving to death. The Serbian armys greed, genocidal intent and barbarities led to the tragedy of these civilians.
Bizarrely enough, Serbian authorities decided to built a Slavic memorial in the Albanian city Gjakova in memory of these Serbian children who died. But who killed those civilians? The Serbs themselves, by dragging along Serb colonialists with them in the harsh Albanian mountains, knowing full well that they were invaders.

Serbian “soldiers” and criminals retreating in 1915.
