According to Albanian governmental data collected in 2021-2024, the majority of murders were committed by Serbs. A majority of the victims were Albanians. Some murders were committed by a Serb who murdered his own father.

“According to official police statistics, a total of 86 murders took place in Kosovo between 2021 and 2024: 81 Albanians, 3 Serbs and 2 other ethnicities. In 2023, 22 Serbs were killed; 2 in the municipality of North Mitrovica and one in Graçanica. There are only Serbian suspects for the three murders,” Albin Kurti wrote.

According to him, a Serb in North Mitrovica is suspected of killing his father and brother, while in Graçanica a Serb is suspected of killing his father. Furthermore, the head of the country said that everyone in Kosovo knows that “Serbian propaganda for violence against Serbs is propaganda”. “Everyone in Kosovo, local or international, knows: Serbian propaganda for violence against Serbs is just that: propaganda. The facts speak for themselves, refuting the treacherous lies and revealing how far an authoritarian regime will go to sow chaos.”
