The Albanian uprising against Yugoslavia in 1921

Petrit Latifi

In 1921, due to the Serbian Yugoslav atrocities and invasion of Albanian lands, the Albanian Minister of War called on Albanian tribes to fight back against the Yugoslav troops and liberate the Albanians in regions occupied by Yugoslavia.

“GRAZ, Oct. 5 (Wolff). The “Grazer Tagespost” learns from Belgrade that the army of the Albanian government is advancing towards the South Slavic border. North of Dibra a battle has already developed. A captured Albanian officer contributed an order of the day in which the Albanian Minister of War calls on all Albanian tribes to invade South Slavia to liberate all Albanians still there.”
