In 1914, the Luxemburg Wort published a telegram stating that there were unheard atrocities committed by the Serbian troops against Macedonians at the border.
“Serbian atrocities. Sofia, October 17th (Own wire report from the Luxembourg Wkort.) There is great excitement here over the unheard-of atrocities committed by Serbian soldiers on the border. A number of newspapers are calling on the government to liberate the Macedonians”
