The Serbian defeat at Lumë Kulle in 1915

Petrit Latifi

In 1915, reports from Europe wrote that the Serbs experienced a catastrophical defeat at Lumë Kulla after Albanians revolted due to years of Serbian war crimes, atrocities and oppression.

“Additional reports state that the Serb defeat at Kula-luma was a catastrophe. In the hopeless flight from Prizrend to Kula-luma, the Serbs lost all their artillery, as well as fleets of vehicles and motor vehicles, many buses, a quantity of tires, ammunition of all kinds, and other military equipment. The Albanians, oppressed by the worst excesses of the Serbs, are rising up and fighting against Serb troops wandering through the mountains of Albania”
