The Serbian defeat by Albanian forces of Sanxhak in 1912

In 1912, Serbian forces attacked Sanxhak, which resulted in Albanian forces driving the Serbs back to Kurshumlia and Toplica.

“Salonika, October 19. The Turkish outposts in the Sandjak, not far from Sjenitza and Novibazar, were attacked by Serbs. The Serbs had to retreat. The Albanian volunteers, enraged by the Serbian raids, crossed the Serbian border and, after a fierce fight, captured several artillery pieces from the Serbs. Several thousand Albanian volunteers drove the Serbs back to Kursumlja in the Serbian Toplica region. Two snipers fell into their hands. It is reported that fighting is already underway between strong Serbian and Turkish troops on the Serbian border in the direction of Pristina. Further information is lacking.”
