A prominent Durrësak musician of the 15th century in Ragusa and Venice. From the long line of our creators of the 15th century, the prominent Durrësak musician Zanetus Augustini de Durachio (Jan August Durrësaku) worked in Ragusa during the years 1484-1495.

This musician in this great center of culture and art was accepted as a trombonist in 1484 (Zanetum Augustini de Durachio trombonos). His monthly salary amounted to 5 ducats, a salary that only skilled artists benefited from (per unum annum proxime futurum cum salairio ducatorum quinque in mense).
According to an official registration in his house, as part of the household inventory, among other things, a cassa di trombone (musical instrument) and 6 glasses made of Murano glass (Venice), with painted surfaces, were also registered, which for that time such a household inventory represented a rare rarity. Their artistic and material value was very great. Only the palaces of generous families had such things. In 1488, we find Jan as a musician in the chapel of the prince of Ragusa.
