American relief commissioner Willard Howard said in a 1914 Daily Mirror interview that Popovic would say his forces meant no harm to Albanians, but would then shoot and burn Albanians to death.

Albanians take Lumë Kulla which the Serbs would loose again in 1915
“Belgrade, September 29. (From an official Serbian source.) According to an official report, the Albanians have taken Lyuma-Kula. A battle is underway near Lyuma-Kula; reinforcements have already been sent there. Reinforcements have also been sent to Ohrid to maintain order.”
80,000 Albanians marching against the Serbian imperialist forces
“The Albanian uprising continues to grow, as confirmed by both Belgrade and Cetinje. The Albanians, numbering 80,000 men, are steadily advancing. There has been no news yet of regular Serbian troops successfully resisting the Albanians. Significant transports of wounded are arriving in Belgrade, which indicates the ferocity of the attacks that have already taken place. Details about these fighters are unknown, just as the reports about the Albanian revolt have never provided a clear picture”
