In one of the villages of the municipality of Vushtrri, a rare stone with special carvings has been discovered, which arouses great interest for its historical and archaeological value. Set among grass and partially covered by time, this stone contains a rectangular cavity in the center and carved circles around it – elements that hint at an ancient ritual or symbolic use.
According to cultural heritage experts, the shape of the stone and its placement in open terrain may be evidence of a place where religious rites, ceremonies or even symbolic burials were once performed by ancient civilizations such as the Illyrians or the Dardanians. Other interpretations suggest that this stone may have served for water collection or even for agricultural or health purposes in the past.
Regardless of its exact function, this stone remains an important testimony of our heritage, which deserves to be preserved, studied by the relevant institutions and promoted as part of the rich history of the municipality of Vushtrri.
