Greeko-Serb invasion threats against Albania in 1921

Petrit Latifi

Despite that Greek and Serb forces committed some of the worst massacres and atrocities in Europe against the Albanians through out the year 1910-1919, these atrocities continued well in the 1920s. In 1921, around 10,000 Greek guerrilla forces gathered on the Albanian border. In the north, the Serbs continued to threaten Albania.

In the paper “Volkszeitung/Deutsche Volkszeitung” we can read:
“Over 12,000 Greek guerrillas have gathered on Albania’s southern border, and in the north, the Serbs are threatening Albania. The Albanian government has lodged a protest with the Entente against these threats.”
