Serbian lies from 1931: Albanian robbers killed kaçak Azem Hajrullah when in fact Yugoslavs killed him

Propaganda and lies is something the Serbian authorities have used centuries. According to an article in the Neueste Zeitung from 1931, Belgrade reports lied and stated that the Albanian kaçak warrior Azem Hajrullahi was killed by Albanian criminals. The truth, published by Albanian press, is that Serbian gendarmeries murdered him.

“Firefight with an Albanian gang of robbers. Vienna, May 28. Regarding the Belgrade report that an Albanian gang of robbers killed Azem Hajrullahi near Vranishte.

The Albanian Press Bureau reported that the Cheta was shot by Yugoslav gendarmes: This gang was led by the notorious kachak Azem Hairulla. According to undisputed findings, this Cheta usually found refuge in the village of Gora on Yugoslav territory, from where it occasionally made incursions into Yugoslavia.”
