Dobra Cosic once stated that “lying is a Serbian national interest”. This is best seen in the lies that the Serbian government spread in 1915 claiming that Albanians were invading “Serbian territories”. However, it turned out these lies were were used as a pretext to invade more Albanian land. These territories were in fact with an Albanian majority which Serbia cunningly stole. In an article in the Meraner Zeitung from 1915, we can read:

“Som Serbian theater of war.
The Serbian-Albanian invasion is described in informed circles in Sofia as a game of Serbian diplomacy. The supposedly great Albanian invasion of Serbia is nothing more than the beginning of the Serbian advance to the Adriatic. All reports coming from Nish about the Albanian invasion are nothing more than hoaxes and deceptions intended to mast the Serbian advance to the sea.”
Truth: Italy cannot watch idely as Serbia continues to invade Albanian lands in 1915
“The Italian government has informed the Serbian government through its envoy in Nih that the Italian government cannot stand by and watch while Serbian troops invade Albanian territory in order to advance to the Adriatic Sea.”
Another lie about alleged Austro-Hungarian atrocities by Serbian legation Vojslav Antonovic (Woislaw Antonovic) in Vienna
“Serbian lie. In the “Novoye Vremja” of January 31
The following report is found: The former First Secretary of the Serbian Legation in Vienna, Woislaw Antonovic, says that after the declaration of war, he received orders to remain in Vienna and to serve the Spanish Embassy. He says, among other things, that the Desterreijes had taken away a large number of non-combatants from Serbia and placed them in prisoner of war camps, and that 4,000 old people, women, and children were being held as prisoners of war in Neusiedel and Czegled.
In both places, mortality had reached threatening proportions. Many of these women had to give birth without medical assistance. All prisoners of war received very poor food and lived under extremely unhealthy conditions.”
The truth:
The “Fremdenblatt” notes: The people taken away from Serbia are only those who have taken up arms against us. They are mostly people of military age and by no means predominantly old people, women, and children. They are all housed in Neusiedel (Neszider). In contrast, in Czegled there are only civilian internees who are subordinate to the Hungarian government.
There is no epidemic raging in the Neusiedler camp (although there are thirty cases of typhus). The accommodations are good. Women and children are housed in barracks, the men in solid barracks. Three or four doctors, including a Russian doctor, are assigned to the camp. Therefore, there can be no question of giving birth without medical assistance. The people receive good-quality military rations as food”
