In 1935, the paper “Volkszeitung/Deutsche Volkszeitung” published an article stating that Marko Boçari (Marko Bozzari), Andreas Miaoulis, Konstantinos Kanaris, Llambro Xhavella were Albanians were of Albanian origin. Cited:

“Countless generals, scholars, architects, writers, and poets of Turkey, as well as its most outstanding jurists, are of Albanian origin. Albanians played leading roles in the Greek liberation struggles, such as the Bottaris, the wealthy naval hero Miaulis, Canaris, Zavella, and others.”

“The Egyptian royal dynasty is of Albanian blood, for Mehmed Mi Pasha, its founder, was an Albanian. His son, Said Pasha, initiated the construction of the Suez Canal; under another of Mehmed Mi’s sons, Ismael Pasha, this great project was completed. It was Ismael Paicha who introduced cotton production, which today represents the main wealth of the Pharaoh’s land. A Pope Clement XI and an outstanding Italian statesman, Crispi, of Albanian descent, should also be mentioned.”
