“Pariani – Chief of General Staff.

General Pariani (1876-1955) Commander of the Brenner Division, was the deputy head of the Italian General-staff in Rome. Aberto Pariani began his military career in 1927 in Albania, where he was appointed to the organization of the Albanian army and the military position of Italy in the strategically important country. Colonel Pariani was the most powerful man in Abania and in his six years of activity laid solid foundation for Italian politics in the Balkans. He was also the real proponent of the plans to transform the Republic of Albania into a kingdom.”
