In 1915, the Serbian troops invaded Tirana and the Montenegrins invaded Shkodër. Both these armies lost. In Tirana, the Serbs were defeated and lost many prisoners. The Serbs then burned Albanian villages. Despite having been ordered to evacuate from Albanian lands, the Serbs stubbornly remained in Albanian territory with 20.000 troops.
