In 1921, the “Südtiroler Landeszeitung” publised an article from the “Lagespost” from Graz writing that the Serbian regime in Yugoslavia sent Serbian troops at the Albanian border. The Serbian Council of Ministers also protested to the Allies about the Serbian-Albanian border of 1913. This despite that Serbia had already acquired 12 000 km2 of Albanian villages and land. Serbian authorities also arrested Albanian Catholic priests in these Albanian lands.

“The Situation in the Kingdom of S.D.S. The Graz “Lagespost” reports from Belgrade: The Council of Ministers has decided to send large troop contingents against Albania and to convene the classes born between 1918 and 1920. The Council of Ministers has also approved a note to the Allies protesting against the border lines established between Albania and Serbia in 1913. The Social Democrats advocate the immediate convening of the National Assembly, especially in view of the serious situation in Albania. In some Albanian territories belonging to the Kingdom of S.D.S., lively Albanian propaganda is being carried out for aligning with Albania. Six Catholic Albanian priests have been arrested”.
