In 1920, the “Der Tiroler / Der Landsmann” published an article writing that the Italian authorities, threatened by Serbias expansionist imperialism, warned Serbia that any expansion towards the Albanian coast would be regarded as a hostile act. This did not stop the Belgrade regime who used oral and written propaganda to declare war against Italy and make it a national cause. The Serbian king then spoke of reclaiming “unredeemed provinces” (meaning all of Albania)“
