Petrit Latifi

In 1913, the “Tiroler Stimmer” reported of a Pan-Slavist meeting in St. Petersburg in Russia attended by 5,000 people. Among the subjects were the question of Shkodër and the Pan-Slavist goal of ceeding it to Montenegro.

“The political mood of Slavophile circles is extremely heated because of the Shkodër question. In a series of articles, Novoye Vremya is working towards the overthrow of Sazonov, whose policies are condemned. In the streets of Petersburg, the cry was repeatedly heard: “Down with Sazonov! Down with Austria!”
