The Kallaç belong to the Albanian tribe of Kuçi while the Dacaj belong to the Albanian tribe of Kelmendai Rozhaja was once composed only of these two tribes and the city was composed of the Kuçi neighborhood and the Kelmendi neighborhood.
Today’s Rozhaja residents are mainly descended from these two tribes.
While today over 95% declare themselves Bosnian as a national category, a significant part does not speak Albanian, while a large part does not claim Albanian origin.
