Narodny Brava on the lies of Nikola Pašić in 1915

Petrit Latifi

In 1915, the “Meraner Zeitung” published an article writing of a harsh critique from the Bulgarian organ “Narodny Brava” against the Serbian prime minister Nikola Pasic. The report states that Nikola Pasic was responsible for the bloodshed for both the Balkan War and World War I. The report also criticizes the Serbian invasion of Albania and Pasics lies about Albanians trying to invade Serbia.

Cited:

“Reports from Sofia: The government organ “Narodny Brava” indignantly opposes the statements of Serbian Prime Minister President Pasic in the “Petit Journal” and declares: Pasic’s policy is to blame for all the evil that has befallen the Balkans and Europe. Through his policy, steeped in blood and atrocities, he destroyed the Balkan League.

On him lies the blood guilt for the victims of the second Balkan war, as well as a large part of the blood guilt for the current great bloodshed. Today, when the wild Serbian hordes are attacking Albania and the honor of the Albanian heroic people, Pasic lies unscrupulously that the Albanians wanted to invade Serbia.

The most despicable lie, however, was the claim that Austria had already offered peace to Serbia three times. Perhaps the most shameless lie of the Serbian Prime Minister is that Serbia had offered Bulgariaa cession of territory in order to enable Bulgarian action against Turkey.”
