“A telegraph is sent to the Imperial Post from Cattaro about a Serbian defeat in Albania: The Serbian troops, who suffered heavy losses in the sorties of the Turkish garrison of Shkodër near Berdicë and Trush, are slowly withdrawing. From Shen Gjin, 550 wounded have been brought to Durrës.
During their retreat, 300 Serbs found themselves in the swamps of the Drin River and were captured by the Turks. A Serbian supply column, traveling under heavy cover from Prizren to Lezhë, was ambushed by the Luma Albanians near Ura e Vizirit in Kukës; the escort was killed and dispersed, and the entire convoy was captured by the Albanians. The Albanian flag is also already flying in Elbasan. The Serbian occupation there has retreated to the east.”
