Even though more than 26 years have passed since the end of the Serbian aggressions against Albanians, justice for crimes committed by the Serbian army and police remains minimal.

According to the Humanitarian Law Center, only 74 murderers of Albanians have been convicted of war crimes, although over 13,000 Albanian civilians were killed and thousands more were massacred, raped and expelled by Serbian forces.

The Kosovo Justice Institute criticizes the lack of a national strategy for dealing with war crimes and calls for international pressure for Serbia’s cooperation in this process, emphasizing the importance of justice for victims and missing persons.
