How Serbian socialist papers downplayed Serbian atrocities against Albanians in 1912

Petrit Latifi

In 1912, Serbian socialist papers and editors downplayed the confirmed reports of Serbian atrocities against Albanian civilians. In an article published in the “Der Arbeiter” from 1912, the author criticizes that the socialist editors trivialize these atrocities.

Translation:

“The whole world may be outraged by the horrors and atrocities committed by the Serbian soldiers against our Albanians, old people, women, and children, but in the eyes of our red Serbians, it is “just a small stream of blood!”, not worth the effort to say anything about it.”
