When Albanians lived in Jezero of Zhablak and Barebchë in 1908

In 1908, the “Der Bote für Tirol” published an article about the Montenegrin representative Gregoric and his demands that Albanians of Jezero of Zhablak and Barebche demolish their blockhouses (alb. kullas)

“Turkey and Montenegro.

As reported to the “P.K.” from Constantinople, the Montenegrin representative, Gregoric, has made strong representations to the Porte that the Turkish government has failed to fulfill its obligation, undertaken last year, to demolish the blockhouse erected by Albanians in Jezero on Montenegrin soil, that the annual compensation of 600 Turkish pounds for Montenegrin pastures in Mokra is not being paid, and that the Albanians intend to build a blockhouse in the vicinity of Barebche. The Montenegrin representative has announced that if his government’s demands are not met as soon as possible, he will leave Constantinople.”
