When the Albanian newspaper “Zeri i Popullit” accused Yugoslavia for atrocities against Albanians in 1949

In 1949, the Dolomites published an article about the Albanian newspaper “Zeri i Popullit” which stated that the Albanians of Kosovo were being persecuted by Yugoslav authorities.

“Tirana, Albania, September 2. The Albanian newspaper Zeri Populit claimed today that the Albanians living in the Kossovo district, the so-called Kosovo Polje, were being persecuted, oppressed, and murdered by the Tito clique, and that there had been shootings between the deployed Yugoslav troops and the population, which was actively resisting”.
