In this passage, we can read of a Venetian citizen, Nicolai, who on 04. 07. 1517, donated his estate to the monasteries on Lake Shkodra on the eve of his death as follows:

“To the Monastery of S. Nicolo de Vranina 60 ducats,

To the Monastery of Goricani 30 ducats (in Zeta),

To the Church of S. Salvador on Lake Shkodra 150 ducats,

50 ducats for the purchase of an olive grove from which oil will be obtained for the needs of the monasteries,

To S. Zorzi 20 ducats (St. George in Garicë e Madhe),

20 ducats to S. Maria in Moraschini (Marashnik),

20 ducats to the church of Madonna di Craina (Our Lady of the Border).

He also donated 100 ducats to the monasteries on Lake Shkodra for the mass for the soul of his brother.”
