Full reaction of activist Naser Vuçetaj
The silence of Albanian “leaders” in Montenegro in the face of the attempt to erect a bust of the notorious war criminal Pavle Đurišić is not only shameful – it is inexcusable!
Pavle Đurišić is not a simple historical figure; he is a symbol of massacres, genocide and ethnic hatred. The erection of his monument is not “cultural heritage” – it is an act of provocation, an open attempt to insult the memory of the victims and rehabilitate the criminals of history.
Any silence in the face of this shame is moral complicity. Any justification is a mockery of the shed blood of the innocent. Leaders who choose to turn a blind eye are in fact choosing to abandon the principles of justice, dignity and respect for victims.
I call on institutions, civil society and all Albanian political representatives, without exception, to react publicly and forcefully. This is not a moment for political calculations – it is a test of character. Silence today will be eternal shame tomorrow.
