The Vasojević family lived near Medun 600 years ago, they are of distant Albanian origin and carry the E1b1b DNA haplogroup, like other Malisor tribes. Thus, the Malocuce, the Drekalovići, part of the Bjelopavlići and the Piperëvi, the Moračani, according to tradition, the Ceklinjani, are of Malisor origin.
In the photos, we see Vasojevic tribal members wearing Albanian “tirqe” (wool clothes). From the article:
“(PHOTO) First time in 150 years: Reconstructed folk costumes of Vasojević presented.
This event marked the anniversary – ten years of research work by Hadži Milisav Tmušić from Berane on collecting materials of the cultural heritage of Vasojević.
For the cultural history of every nation, it is important that there are as many researchers and collectors of folk and artistic treasures as possible..
Researchers of our traditional culture and scholars of antiquities on our soil were, in addition to many ordinary people, teachers and priests, also famous writers, geographers, archaeologists, ethnologists and other experts.
Hadži Milisav Tmušić from Berane followed in their footsteps ten years ago.”
