For illustration, below we present an incomplete list of imams imprisoned by the then security organs from 1945 to 1990. This includes those imams whose files are recorded in the archives. For example, this does not include those imams who served their sentence in the notorious Goli Otok prison, where as it is known, one of the prisoners in this prison was Mulla Irfani from Lipjan. The data show that the number of imams is much larger than the one we have presented, who were imprisoned and mistreated during this period of time.
