In the book” Istorija Niša: Od najstarijih vremena do oslobođenja od Turaka 1878. godine” from 1983, we can read of the Serbian expulsion of the Albanians of Belgrad in 1753 who settled in Krusevac and Prokuplje. Page 228:
“The Arnauts expelled from Belgrade mostly found refuge with the Krusevac sanjakbeg Ismail in Prokuplje, from where they set out on a real military campaign against Belgrade in the summer of 1753. At that time, Arnaut Yahya-basha ruled in Paraćin, as mutaselim and ayan of the Kruševac sanjakbeg and serdar of the Nish zabit. The usurers from Alaija, expelled from Belgrade in 1755, also mostly returned to Nish, where they had previously started their usury business; only some of them fled from their creditors in Istanbul.”
