Montenegrin war criminal Vojslav Kušić (Vojo Kushi) who kidnapped an Albanian minor in 1942

In 1943, Vojslav Kušić, or Vojo Kushi, a Montenegrin from the region of Vrakë, was a partisan communist in Albania. He was later executed for having committed atrocities on Albanians.

Kidnapping of an Albanian girl

On October 7, 1942, Vojslav Kusic kidnapped an Albanian minor girl, the daughter of Sulejman Kukaleshi.

This brutal act led to a local uprising against the Montenegrin Slav, Vojslav Kušić was executed, as well as his colleague Gjergji Martini. Vojislav never fought against Italian or German invaders in Albanian territories.

Despite these crimes, on February 12, 1945, he was declared the “National Hero of Yugoslavia”. In 1946, he was declared the “Hero of the Albanian People”. On October 7, 2020, he was declared the “Honor of the Albanian Nation” by the President of the Republic of Albania.
