Letter from Herzegovina dated February 9th. In 1861, speaking about the quarrel between the Turks and Montenegrins of Nikšić, he says about Luka: “The proclaimed duke Luka Vukalović came back to his homeland at the very time when the battle was taking place near Nikšić. And since then he has been busy in Sutorina. He is very difficult for the Turks. They cannot see or hear him walking there.
On the 5th of October, while duke Luka Vukalović was walking in Sutorina, the Arnauts, who were sitting in the tower, fired several rifles at him, and he quickly called out to his company, and there they exchanged rifles several times, while the Arnauts rushed into the tower.
From 24th February it is written: “Mehmed Pasha with his army did not dare to pass into Sutorina, because he learned that Luka Vukalović with 500 others was waiting for him around the road. Since Mehmed Pasha He returned, and Vukalović with some iron cannons and a cherry tree turned on the tower, and destroyed the house, and the Arnauts fled to Herceg Novi”.
