The Montenegrin-Albanian battle of Vranje and Mullakuqe of Berdicë in Shkodër in 1880

The newspaper “FLAG”, no. 109 published an article on 18.07.1880 writing of the Albanian defense in Vranje and Molakuv (Mullakuqe) near Berdicë in Shkodër.

“The Vienna “Nem. nov.” reported from Shkodra that on July 13 there was a new skirmish between the Montenegrins and the Arnauts near Vranje and Molakuv (Matagush?). The Montenegrins attacked and were pushed back by the Goričani, losing 4 men. The Arbanas lost 2 of them and 6 defended themselves. The port commissioners arrived in Shkodra, were at the assembly of the league on the 14th and delivered letters from Abedin Pasha.”
