In 1883, there was a clash between Albanians of Matagush and Vladnja and Montenegrin colonists trying to settle in the villages. In the paper”ЗАСТАВА” (Flag) in number 30, dated 23.02.1883, we can read:

“As the “P. L.” from Kotor reports, there were bloody clashes between Montenegrins and Arnauts on the 16th because the Montenegrins had newly settled Matagoš and Vladnja.”
