Nikola Tomanović was a famous Serbian hero from Montenegro, accoding to Wikipedia. However, once you dig a little deeper, this person clear has Albanian origin.

He was also called Nikac od Rovina (Nikaci from Rovini), born (between 1720 and 1726 – 1776) in the village of Rovine in the Cuce tribe. As can be seen, this tribe has nothing to do with Serbs or Serbia. After all, like most of Montenegro at that time, it was inhabited by Albanians who today have been assimilated.

Fact is, he was a descendant of the famous Albanian Kuqi tribe of Montenegro. The ancestor of the Tomanovići family, Sredani, who was a Drekalović (this is also confirmed by the old ethnologist Erdeljanović in his study Fisi Kuçi) moved from Kuçi to Cuce in the 16th century.

He was known for his bravery in the war against the Ottomans, especially for the murder of a Turkish pasha of that time, Osman-pasha, about whom Njegoš also wrote and dedicated the poem “Sons of Obiliq”.
