The Serbian massacre of 35 Albanian boys in Xherije of Elbasan

When Serbian forces entered the village of Xherije in Elbasan they massacred 35 boys with bayonets. These Serb atrocities occurred shortly after the Albanian declaration of independence and were orchestrated by Serbian Colonel Haxhiç. When Albanian resistance took place, the Serb military forces took some action in response, such as arrests, murder and burning houses.
