Montenegros illegal invasion of the Albanian territories of Gruda, Tuzi and Zatrijebač in 1855-1856

In this article from the paper “Regensburger Zeitung” from 1856, we find an article about the illegal Montenegrin annexation of Tuzi, Gruda and Zatrijebač which belonged to the Pashalik of Shkodër at the time.

Cited:

“Cattaro, August 24th. The latest conflict between the Montenegrins and their Turkish neighbors is, of course, the subject of our attention. Currently, a ceasefire prevails on the Turkish-Montenegrin border, as the Pasha of Scutari does not even possess sufficient forces to halt the offensive actions of the Cernagoras, let alone to recapture the district illegally seized by the brother of the Prince of Montenegro.”
